Brighten My Day

Image
The Avocado Arts design team is showcasing new projects today.  For those of you who may be newer customers to AA, I am revisiting an older set, it is actually the second stamp set that Avocado Arts came out with last year (Sending Smiles Across the Miles). I like that this card can be for a man or a woman, or even a youth. Visit the other designers to see what they have created today.  I believe all the rest are sneaking the July set.  You may notice a new name on the list below.  Ashley Harris has joined the design team.  So head on over to her blog and say hello. Lawn Fawn: Quinn's 123's

Image
Today, the Lawn Fawn designers are showing projects using the new stamp set called Quinn's 123's (which are a companion to the alpha set). I wanted to make a clean, simple congratulations card.  So many people around this time are graduating.  My son had his 5th grade graduation just a few weeks ago (this mama is not ready for him to go to Jr. High lol) and I wish I had made this back then. I stamped the brackets and numbers from Quinn's 123's , and then colored them in using Stickles (which is a great glitter glue).  I did the same with the hat from Hats off to You , paper pieced it, popped it up with some foam tape, and added stickles.  Then stamped the congrats sentiment from Sophie's Sentiments . Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog for a chance to win this set, and see more projects using this set. materials used: white card stock Stickles: red, black, clear Lawn Fawn stamps (Sophie's Sentiments, Quinn's 123's, & Hats off to You)

Hey there!  Today all of the Avocado Arts are sharing a project with you today, sneaking the July set.  My project isn't showing the July set, just in case you are looking for clues.  Why?  Well, its half my fault and half my kids fault.  I told them to throw away a pile of old mail, except they threw away the wrong pile.  What was in the wrong pile?  Avocado Arts stamps, a debit card (had a long talk with the bank today about that lol), and some other important things.  I should have known better, and in the big scheme of life it isn't a biggy, just kinda sucky lol. So, I am sharing a card using the June set, Let's Catch up, paired with the August Zipnby to Say Hi set. Make sure you visit the rest of the designers, to catch a sneak of the July set. Quick and simple Father's Day gift

Image
Okay, I know what you might be thinking.  What the heck it that?  Well, I will tell you what it is.  It is awesome to sum it up in one word.  This is the gift you give a Man on Father's Day, especially if you have no idea what to give him.  He will pretty much worship you, I promise.   Beer.  Yep, good ole fashioned beer. It is something all men love. Say, it is Father's Day and you don't have a beer.  What you need to do is, go to the old man's house on the corner, who is always out in his yard (cuz his wife is crazy).  Yep, him.  You know he has like a 36 pack somewhere.  Or, go to the new young couple across the street who just had a baby, you know the guy who looks super defeated when he takes out the trash.  He has beer.  What about the couple with the teenagers, you know they have some strong stuff in the house.  My point being, 99.9% of your neighbors will have this.  You might have it too. Now that you have your beer. Get some stamps, some ink, scraps
